The Last of Us Director Shoots Down Fortnite Crossover Rumors

Neil Druckmann,  longtime director of The Last of Us and its sequel, The Last of Us Part II, has confessed rumors about the PlayStation franchise's move to Fortnite. The other day,  new rumors emerged that there may be some collaboration between Fortnite and The Last of Us. That makes sense, given that the PlayStation has brought other first-party characters to Fortnite in the past, but this rumor doesn't seem to be based on reality.

Dragman joined social media this afternoon and openly denied that anything related to The Last of Us would come to Fortnite later. He said, "I love Fortnite ... But there are no plans, "said Dragman, citing rumors of a problem that was starting to excite fans.

In response to this news, some fans joked about how Dragman could even have internal knowledge about it. Others  celebrated or lamented the idea that this collaboration might not come true, depending on what they thought about the idea. Still, Dragman's remarks on this issue seem to be very simple, and The Last of Us doesn't seem to go to Fortnite right away.

As mentioned earlier, PlayStation has worked with developer Epic Games in the past to bring many other beloved characters to Fortnite. Uncharted's Nathan Drake, God of War's Kratos, and  the Horizon series of alloys have all landed on Epic's popular battle royale titles in recent years. So it makes sense that Joel or Ellie from The Last of Us could also appear, especially given that The Last of Us Part I will be released on PS5 in early September. But for the time being, this crossover remains just a dream.
